According to J.K. Rowling’s website, Pottermore, fans of the boy wizard can expect a new edition of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (now a major movie franchise all of its own), this coming March. The new edition, which is set to arrive at book stores four months after the installment in the hit film series, will include a new foreword by Magizoologist Newt Scamander (written by Rowling, herself), new artwork and a no less than 6 of new beasts, likely influenced by the new film franchise, which greatly expanded both the story of the famous Huffelpuff wizard, and the history of the wizarding world in general. Does this mark the successful transition of the Harry Potter series into a bigger series based on an expanded wizarding world? Or maybe it’s another step in the franchise becoming fully commercialized and money grabbing? Well, say what you will, but the message regarding the new edition does state that all of its proceeds will be donated to Comic Relief and Lumos, Rowling’s charity for children placed in institutions.
